The first hymn from David Hildreth:  I want Jesus to Walk with me.
This was an easy choice as this was one of Edie's favourites and likewise our whole family.  I trust & need you Jesus summarizes this hymn -Blessings to all as we rejoice in singing it.

The second hymn from Karen Brumpton:  Away in a Manger.
This makes me smile every Christmas as I remember a long ago Christmas Concert at the Church.  The Sunday school class was to sing this and they all started out just fine.  Slowly, the singing petered out until only my daughter Heather was singing by herself.  One of the ACW ladies asked Heather if she knew the second verse too. She promptly sang the first verse all over again!

The third hymn from Dianne Kresak: Here I am Lord.
I first heard this hymn approximately 30 years ago.  A group of parishioners were picking hymns to sing at our Ukrainian Catholic Church and my friend chose "Here I am Lord"  This became my favourite hymn from the first time I heard it.  I love the lyrics.  I feel it emphasizes God's power and love and we can trust that whatever we are going through God is with us.  It's an expressing of our faith and reminds us of our role in God's plan.

The fourth hymn from Norma Lawton: Just as I am.
As a child of 11 or 12, I was in a choir at our church and this hymn was often sung as a prayer during communion.  I didn't fully understand the meaning of the words then, I think it was the music that I loved. God's grace has always been a mystery to me but over the years I have come to realize that this hymn speaks of repentance and grace, grace that I don't deserve yet is freely available to all.
