The Rev. Nick Parker is Retiring

On Sunday January 6 Nick let us all know that his last Sunday with us will be May 26, 2019. He stated that what started as a one day fillin relief clergy has turned into many loving years of ministry at St Johns. He was tired and was looking forward to spending more quality time with his loving wife Sandi. Nick Stated that some of the best times in his ministry were here at St Johns because we are a special congregation with hearts filled with the spirit and love for each other and our community. One of the unique parts of the ministry ,Nick pointed out, was the year that we shared our ministry with the Squamish United Church while their Centerpoint facility was being built. Nick thanked the Rev Karen Millard for the opportunity to share the ministry with the Squamish United Church congregation. Now their facility is complete our monthly combined services have come to close in order to let each congregation continue on in their own journey of ministry to the community. We would be still coming together as in the past at Easter to share the good news. 

Let us come together as a congregation in this time of transition to not only celebrate the time that Nick has spent with us but to also work together to find a new leader and carry the light of Christ into the community for many years to come.
